April 22

Hello out there! It is official we have been married one year - who'd of thought! Mark is out at the Allen Cup conveniently located near the in-laws and I am home with them - teary and excited for my sister's sister and brother in law, who are at this very minute meeting their future daughter. What an experience! We have been following their blog and although our life has very little excitement compared to that, we have been through an immense amount of change in the year since we waltzed out into life by way of the Proclaimers, and thought this would be a better way for us to communicate with the world outside of Marwayne.

Those of you who are still patiently waiting for thank you notes - we have started a new traditiion of extending that 6-week acceptable time frame to a year and 6 weeks... It's really new, and may be up for revisement at the end of these next six weeks. L!

For those of you who don't know, we are selling our house and hopefully buying a place in or around Cold Lake. So if we're on anyone's "I promise to give them 10% of our lotter winnings" list - let us know and we'll add you to ours! After relatively little cursing - our bathroom is complete and you will see our house listed on MLS any day now.

We have had a bit of hectic winter, health issues being most prevalent, and are hoping for a summer of fewer emergencies.

Liam (5) goes in to have his kidneys repaired and the nail taken out of his femur on May 22. We are really really full of optimism that this will be the end of health issues for him and that he will start growing and strengthening his 'wee'ness, as the summer comes upon us. Although if you didn't know his background, you'd think he was the energy bunny incarnate. He has the most joy and sparkl e of anyone I know

Emily on the other hand is the picture of health and in the last weeks, has swam with dolphins, snorkelled up and down the Mexican coast and parasailed with her mom and stepdad. They had a great week in Mexico and as some of you may find out she is far better at keeping in touch with people than we are. We've already received two postcards. She must take after Nana Fran! Also if you have four dollars, it would be great if you could donate to the get the girl guide cookies out of our house fund, as her dad has almost won the most cookies consumed in a week contest. L! Girl Guides continues to be a great thing for her, and Mark laughs at the vicarious I experience through her!

Despite our sometimew chaotic life, we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know one another better this year. He accepts my whinyness and I accept his daily curse at all things feline. (We are enjoying our KAT much more now that she is fixed!).

Take care all.

The strength of a woman lies in the strength of her heart.
